Amjad participated in vigorous physical activities and sports from a very young age. He was picked by his grade 1A teacher to represent his classmates on the soccer team and compete against his 1B and 1C classmates with the whole school in attendance. Excelling in sports gave Amjad confidence, happiness, and a sense of well-being from a young age. Amjad experienced a few injuries while playing competitive soccer including a fractured ankle bone, an inner thigh muscle tear, and multiple ankle twists that he had to overcome throughout his life to be able to move like he was always used to. With the goal of learning about human biomechanics and to learn about movement injury prevention and recovery, he pursued a Human Kinetics degree at University of Ottawa, then went further to complete a second degree in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College. He also completed education in Massage Therapy, and courses in Fascial Stretch Therapy, Mobilization of the Neuroimmune System and Olympic Weightlifting Training.

Amjad is working with the general active population as well as high-level athletes to help them return to their normal daily activities and to achieve peak performances in their sports and physical activities.

Amjad’s work focusses on movement longevity and achieving optimal sport and physical activity performances through sound biomechanics training and recovery programs that are backed by his science education and evidence-based practices.
